FAQ
- You absolutely can leave it running 24/7. It has an intelligent self-shutoff function if the water level gets too low and it saves the water pump motor from burning out. Our test fountain has been running nonstop for over 8 months now.
- We recommend simple things like putting it somewhere higher up, for example (for cats who used to climbing to drink out of the water faucets). You can also take the yellow flower cap off if your cats prefer drinking from the top 'water bubble' instead of the side streams. Or you can take the top part of the flower stem off (leaving only the metal lid) if your cat never drinks out of the faucet or afraid of running water and the top part of the fountain might seem confusing. A lot of cats don't like to drink water near their food, so you might consider moving it away if it is somewhere nearby. There could be a million reasons for "why" in the cat's head. In the end, your best bet is to give him/her more time to adapt.
- Our fountain holds about 2.4L of water (81oz) and has a stainless steel top part so it's pretty heavy. And it has an anti-slip bottom part. Worst-case scenario your cat might be able to move it around a little bit (if less than half a tank left) but it's practically impossible to tip it over even for a dog.
- We recommend replacing the charcoal filter every 3-4 weeks depending on the number of cats using the fountain. And we advise cleaning both charcoal and the black sponge filter every week when you clean the bowl. The sponge filter doesn't have to be replaced and mainly there to protect the motor from possible hair debris and food particles.
- Our fountain is extremely quiet. You may hear some bubbling sounds when the water level is getting too low, but you won't hear the sound of the motor itself.
- The bowl and the stainless steel top are dishwasher safe. The water pump and the filter cannot be washed in the dishwasher. We advise cleaning the bowl and the top once a week to avoid possible sliminess. We also advise rinsing the top charcoal filter and the bottom sponge filter once a week.
- We recommend cleaning the water pump every 3-4 weeks

- There is no off switch (we are working on including it on the next year's model). The light stays blue so you could clearly see the water level at all times. And it turns red when the water level is low to grab your attention.
- Please note that every Cat has different personalities and habits. We can't guarantee your Cat will use the fountain frequently. In case he/she shows no interest (according to our statistic about 90% of Cats adapt to drinking from the fountains fairly quickly), we suggest donating the fountain to a cat shelter or a rescue organization. It is a good source of clean filtered water and many cats with dehydration and kidney diseases really need it. We appreciate your consideration!
- The fountain is 4.5″ high and holds about 2.4 L (80 oz) of water with the stainless steel top making it pretty heavy. And it has an antislip bottom. So it mainly depends on how much your dog drinks. We would recommend taking off the top part of the fountain leaving only the stainless steel top to make it easier for a dog to drink from.

I have 8 cats and was skeptical that they would all use this, so I just purchased one. Now, I'm about to put in an order for an additional unit because they love this! They are drinking a lot more water which has diluted their urine and the litter box isn't as smelly as it has been. The only issue I have is keeping the water full because they really go through it fast. Definitely recommend!
