The spiral pins worked fine to attach them to my sofas. The vinyl is thick and there are precut holes you guide the pins through.

My cats destroy furniture. There’s two of them and they are beasts. I swear they really do think they are tigers and my good furniture must be lame wildebeests. After I put these on, they stopped scratching the furniture I chose to protect.
